I heard on the radio this morning that the local Red Cross came up $150,000 short of it’s annual budget and so would have to cut educational programs and some emergency response capabilites (pray for no tornado this season!). I also heard that Jennifer Lopez spent $350,000 on her wedding dress. Serendipity. The solution is obvious: Marry Naked.
If all these celebrities agreed to forgo the wedding frippery and finery and pass on the earmarked money to charity, imagine how much good that could do! And what a statement that would make! They want to look their best on their fifth once-in-a-lifetime special day, right? What could possibly flatter the beautiful people more than skin?
And it doesn’t have to end with wedding dresses, you know. Tuxes are pretty costly, as are bridesmaid dresses. It will add up quickly. And we can publish a “Marry Naked Calendar” every year, with photos from these charitable celebs, to keep the coffers healthy long term.
Heck, why stop there? They say the average wedding dress costs $800-$1000. Imagine if just 1000 women got on board the Marry Naked train and got out of the dresses, the Red Cross would be able to pay their bills.
Save the World! Marry Naked!
