I just don’t get it

Okay, a few days ago the Massachusettes Supreme Court declared that homosexuals couples deserve the same rights and benefits as heterosexuals couples. The uproar began almost instantly.
And I just don’t get it.
The outcry seems to be that we have to “protect” marriage. I’m not sure how, but apparently allowing gay couples to get married threatens [...]
