I ran across this AP story about the bill in Louisiana to ban low-slung pants:
People who wear low-slung pants that expose skin or “intimate clothing” would face a fine of up to $500 and possible jail time under a bill filed by a Jefferson Parish lawmaker.
I see. Weren’t we all horrified when the Taliban beat women if they didn’t wear the burka or if their burka accidently exposed skin. Fundamentalists are pretty much the same the world over, aren’t they?
State Rep. Derrick Shepherd said he filed the bill because he was tired of catching glimpses of boxer shorts and G-strings over the lowered belt lines of young adults.
I humbly suggest Mr. Shephard try meeting people eye to eye instead of looking down his nose at them; he’ll be much be less likely to catch glimpses of their waist that way.
Just a thought.
Piss of the Taliban–support a bally dancer!
