Portor Goss, recently nominated to head the CIA, was a bit reluctant to look into the betrayal of an undercover CIA operative last year. He said, “Somebody sends me a blue dress and some DNA, I’ll have an investigation.”
Dear Mr. Goss,
Enlosed please find my favorite blue dress, covered with 15 pounds of grade A feline DNA.

Please perform the following investigations:
1) The betrayal of Valerie Plame, CIA operative working on WMD proliferation. I suggest you look around the White House.
2) The disclosure of Muhammad Naeem Noor Khan’s cooperation with Pakistani investigators, which exposed our only mole inside Al Queda. Rumor has it that Condoleezza Rice might be able to shed some light on this.
3) The sources of the intelligence provided by Ahmed Chalabi, and whether all the money we paid him for intelligence was worth it. Oh, and while you’re checking up on this, you might also ask him if he knows anything about someone passing top secret information to the Iranians.
4) The forgery of the documents claiming Iraq tried to buy uranium from Niger. I hear Italy might have a good lead. It’s a little hot this time of year, but it won’t be too crowded with everyone on vacation.
I know you have a lot on your mind, but I would really appreciate it if you could at least assign an agent or two to these investigations.
Thank you and best regards,
Dorothy Lindman
