Okay, so 9-11 did change a few things

While watching the Republican National Convention, I realized that 9-11 apparantly did change a few things. For instance, we need to revise the pledge of allegiance. Here’s my suggestion:

I pledge allegiance to the flag divinely appointed president of the United States of America, and to the republic party for which it he stands, one nation, under the Judeo-Christian God as interpreted by a small group of Evangelical Prostestants, with liberty and justice for all those rich people who promise not to disagree with us.

Oh, and I think the Miranda warning could also use a tweak or two:

You have the to remain silent unless we think you might possibly be a terrorist, in which case you have the right to be stripped naked, sexually abused, put in stress positions, beaten, attacked by dogs, and otherwised “interrogated.” Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law assuming, of course, that you are lucky enough to get a trial at all. You have the right to speak to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you by the court. You have the right to be held indefinitely, without charges or bail, with no official record of your arrest or incarceration.

I think that about covers it.
