Wow, What a Week!

Okay, so first my computer’s power connection gets a little manky, and I can’t reliably use it.

Not a big deal, though, because I had already planned to buy a tablet PC off from a guy I work with. So in between loading all the files on the new PC and trying to get files off the old PC, we also got a VoIP service and had to rearrange our network.

Hint: Never try to reconfigure a network when Mercury is retrograde. Astrologists tell me that Mercury governs communication and electronics, and when it’s retrograde, these these tend to go south. South, huh? Try Antarctica. (I don’t know how much stock I put in astrology overall, but for the past 15 years, I have been able to tell when Mercury is retrograde without looking at the ephemeris.)

Three days later, we actually all the computers reconnected, and I can finally load all my files (including the link to my blog edit page!) on the new PC.

In the middle of this, our roommate–the one who went to the hospital last week–tells us that she and her fiance are moving in together now instead of next spring. We’re really glad they found the perfect place so fast, but we are gonna miss her.

Oh, and there’s some sort of Holiday or something? And a sinus infection, and work has been hell and and and….

And our friend Amanda came over to pimp her kittens:

There’s Fafner:

Sigulindorsomething: (I may have these two mixed up–I can’t tell them apart)

And She Who Has Not Been Named:

So the twins went home and the Nameless One stayed with us. It’s been nearly 19 years since we had an actual kitten in the house, and we’re all enjoying it.

Well, except for Gabby. She hates the new kitten. But she’ll be moving in with the lovebirds soon, anyway.

And New Kitty still needs a name, BTW. We’re taking suggestions.
