The Perfect Hermes Moment

Okay, for those who were confused by the last post, I have added the “Fiction” code to it: yes, I made it up. It’s hard being a satirist these days. (sigh)

Oh the up side, the god of satire came through brilliantly:

During Bush’s speech broadcast, he made the comment that technology was the answer to America’s energy issues…and the broadcast feed went out.

Apparently, Technology wanted nothing to do with it.

The really amusing thing, to me, is that Hermes, the Trickster god, is also generally considered to be the god of communication and media. This is just the kind of joke he would go for.

And people wonder why he’s my favorite…
